Zomba Theological University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Eligibility: A good Christian standing and the relevant academic qualifications for your chosen programme. All instruction is in English.

Application fee & payment
A non-refundable MK 20,000 application fee is required for all programmes except Masters of Contextual Theology (TEEL), which is fully sponsored (no application fee). Attach your deposit slip below. Tuition fees are payable in four instalments (two per semester). Pay only into the official University bank account:

Bring your deposit slip to the University Finance Office for an electronic ZTU receipt. Tuition fees do not include textbooks.
⚠ IMPORTANT — DISCLAIMER: Zomba Theological University DOES NOT transact its business through Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba, Mukuru or any personal bank account, and does not use middlemen or agents. All payments are made only into the official University bank account above. Report to the police any person asking you to deposit money to secure a place or accommodation. The University shall not be held accountable for such deals.

ABE Professional Qualifications — separate application form
In partnership with ABE (UK), the University also offers the Diploma in Human Resource Management (Levels 4–6). This programme has its own application form — you can fill it in online below, or download the printable copy. ABE applications are handled by the Registrar and Finance (Accountant) offices, the same as our other programmes.

Provide the details of two referees.
For those in the Holy Ministry, one reference should come from your General Secretary / Bishop permitting you to study at ZTU; for lay applicants, from your employer (e.g. District Education Manager). The other reference should come from your local church minister or pastor. Confidential reference letters should be sent in sealed envelopes signed across the seal.
